What Are We Looking For?
To be eligible for Social Security Disability benefits, a client or patient must fit several broad criteria before we can help them apply. Referrals to Citizens Disability must meet the following criteria:
- Has a medical condition that keeps them from working
- Is out of work, and either has been out for a year or expects to be out for a year
- Had worked 5 of the last 10 years before they went out of work, at a job where they paid FICA taxes
- They do not currently have a representative helping with an SSDI claim
